Grandma Zena's 100-Year Old Popcorn Balls

Preparation Time: 30 minutes

Difficulty: Easy

Recipe Ingredients:

2 cups white sugar
1 cup dark corn syrup
2 Tablespoons dark vinegar
5 Tablespoons butter
3/4 cup popcorn
Salt, to taste

Cooking Instructions:

Pop the popcorn and pour into a roaster. Season with salt to taste. Melt the white sugar and dark corn syrup together. Add vinegar and butter. Cook to soft ball stage over medium high heat. Stir occasionally. Pour over popcorn and form into balls. Put in plastic sandwich bags to keep fresh.

Serves: 2 dozen

Eat right away or you may warm up in the microwave about 5-10 seconds for a fresh taste later.

We always make this a family time, everyone loves to play a part in making these special treats! Plastic food gloves work great when forming the balls.
